Dr. Davin Lim is an Australian Board -Certified Laser, Procedural and Aesthetic Dermatologist and a member of the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine. Dr. Lim’s training and work have taken him all over the globe. In 2001, he was the first Australian to be trained under the Irish Association of Dermatologists where his residency in Dublin and Drogheda taught both UK and US dermatology syllabuses. In 2003, he undertook further British Association of Dermatologists training in the United Kingdom, where his success led to the award of a Royal Society of Medicine Registrar’s Prize. Dr. Lim completed his training locally at the Royal Brisbane and Princess Alexandra Hospitals, focusing on cosmetic and laser dermatology. Upon completing his board exams, he travelled throughout Asia and the US to expand his knowledge in the field of laser and aesthetic procedures, which he has now brought back to Australia.Considered one of the world’s leading experts for laser-treated skin disorders and rejuvenation therapies that include tattoo removal, acne scar revision and laser resurfacing, Dr. Lim has developed several new cosmetic procedures. These include fresh delivery protocols for TCA CROSS and hybrid laser resurfacing; his techniques have changed the face of current aesthetic dermatology. Dr. Davin Lim has a seat on various advisory boards, including those of Galderma, Fraxel and Syneron Candella. He also plays an important advisory role at La Roche Posay and Allergan. During the past decade, and with over 20 credits to his name, Dr. Lim has been published in international journals and presented at numerous conferences. Dear dr. Davin Lim, First of all, I would like to thank you for your amazing work. You are helping so many people. I’m living in Europe and I would like your advice on the best way to treat the chickenpox scars of my daughter (her age is 8 years old). On August 6, 2023 (3 and a half weeks ago) she got chicken pox. Now after passing chicken pox she has sunken scars (slightly red/darker color) on her skin due to chicken pox. I want to take care of these scars the best way possible for a good healing. The most visible are the scars on her face and her chest. They look like "atrophic scars" but I hope they can improve with a good treatment. The scars are very recent, do you think they will improve in appearance and depth? I hope that early and timely management can give good results. Can you advise me on how I can take care of these scars? Is there a cream can I apply that can help or something else I can do for improvement? Furthermore, I would like to know if there are dermatologists that you can recommend in Europe for the treatment of this kind of scars? Preferably Spain and Netherlands/Belgium/France/Portugal/Germany, and if you have trusted colleagues in other countries in Europe I would like to know because I can easily travel within Europe. I love your videos! Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I have sebaceous hyperplasia and Seborrheic keratosis. My skin type is 4. Hyperpigmentation is a big problem for me as my skin tends to get dark and is very reactive. What laser you would recommend? Is Pico effective? I would really appreciate if you could answer. Hi Davin, I am Nico, writing you from Argentina. I am seriously considering flying from Argentina->Brisbane to have a consultation with you to treat my acne scarring. Dermatologists here are not good and i've been losing my time and money without getting my problem solved. I do believe in you to treat my case based on all the positive feedback you have. Not sure how severe is my case and also because i know that this kind of things require some time. I got 3 hypertrophic scars in one of my cheeks that didn't improve after 3 pico sessions + 1vbeam laser. They look like pimples but they aren't. With out a doubt the best dermatologist I have seen. I went to David for acne scar treatment and have been blown away by the level of service he provides. The staff were extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I had subcision and CO2 laser, the recovery was smooth and the results were significant. I have been to other dermatologists for the same issues and had next to no results. Thanks David and team your doing great work.
