Overview

It has its origins in the early '80s. Since then Dr Castilla has been incorporating the latest technical advances, both in the diagnostic field and in therapeutic procedures but mainly surgical.The philosophy of the team consists of the personalised treatment of the patient, where each ocular problem is thoroughly studied and analysed under the supervision and direct attention of Dr Castilla. The care activity of Dr Castilla includes mainly Cataract Surgery, Laser Refractive Surgery and Intraocular Lenses (myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism), Presbyopia Surgery or tired eyesight (multifocal intraocular lenses), Corneal Surgery (cornea transplant, rings for keratoconus), Glaucoma Surgery (laser, trabeculectomy, valvular implant).In his 25 years of experience as an eye surgeon, Dr Castilla and his team have performed more than 30,000 surgical procedures. He has directed the training of several generations of doctors and specialists since his tenure as Professor of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.

Had an amazing experience with Miguel Castilla. I was looking for an english speaking doctor in Barcelona. Everyone was very kind and personable. I felt in safe hands and the surgery was fast and well organized. Finally 20/20 vision. Thanks team Castilla!!

I have been having periodic check-ups with Dr. Castilla for 40 years. He has always seemed to me to be a person with exquisite human treatment as well as an excellent professional. He knows how to explain to you in a natural way any incident or care that must be carried out. It is clear that he loves his profession but above all his patients, whom he takes care of with care and detail. Highly recommended.

All visits to Dr. Castilla's clinic have been very pleasant. Both the doctor and his collaborators offer excellent human and professional treatment. He recently had cataract surgery on me and I can't say enough that I will be forever grateful.

Dr. Castilla is a great professional, he explains everything very well, the treatment is delicate and kind. Apart from that, you have a lot of experience, you give a lot of confidence, you know a lot.
