Overview
Focus Medical Ophthalmic Microsurgery and Laser Center has provided surgical interventions for eye problems since 1990. Thousands of people have regained the experience of glasses-free clear vision at our center, and our eyeglass-wearing customers have left tens of thousands of diopters behind at our clinic. We have witnessed a lot of happiness and we feel we have been able to really add something to our patients' success. Besides having brought vision correction microsurgery to Hungary, we have been working on making up-to-date procedures available to our customers. First, we did strabismus and cataract surgeries, then in 1996, we introduced the PRK excimer laser vision correction procedure, and in 1998, the LASIK procedure.
In March, 2006, we began using the most recent technology available in the world, which enables patients to see more clearly after the laser surgery than with the glasses or contact lenses they had worn before. The reason such outstanding results can be achieved is the individually customzed treatments with our wavefront analysis technology and the latest generation of laser equipment. We use the known PRK procedure and also the improved version of LASIK for wavefront-analysis-based laser interventions. Focus Medical is the only clinic in Hungary, which has the laser technology required for this procedure. We use two special laser devices for IntraLASIK - we really do achieve individually customized perfect vision without the touch of human hands. IntraLASIK is recommended for people who cannot skip more than 1 or 2 days from work; who want to drive or exercise 1 or 2 days after the surgery; who want painless post-operative days after a painless surgery. 5.0I had the eye correction surgery back in 2018 and the team was fantastic. As someone who doesn’t speak Hungarian, they did everything to make me feel comfortable from the first consultation to the last check up. I worked closely with Agnes who was absolutely great with answering my questions and helping me in anyway possible. Truly a great experience even though I was nervous. And so fast! Highly recommend them and their great location on Margit sziget :)

Personally I have been receiving an outstanding service from the very 1st consultation up till today. To begin with the clinic is equipped with the state-of-the-art ophthalmological technology and equipment and the most important with the brilliant specialists who guide you thoroughly and scrupulously over the whole process of treatment. Special thanks go to Dr. Kerekes Julianna and Szűcs Rita who answered all my questions and explained the steps of the operation in a very professional and friendly manner. My personal hero is Szabados Sandor who was my translator (I do not speak Hungarian). He did a brilliant job, I do recommend his services to everyone who is not Hungarian citizen or does not speak Hungarian. He was very attentive to my requests being very patient and polite and answered them promptly and highly professionally. As a matter of fact, his English is fantastic. I felt like I was talking to a native speaker. I did not doubt a second that I had done this operation. The results are tremendous, my life has changed. If anyone concerns about the pain issues: it is absolutely painless and fast. I do recommend it to everyone who feels the need to improve his/her vision P.S.
