My experience is excellent, far surpassing expectations. I highly recommend Dr. Garita Dental Experience to everyone. This is a new dental experience with a superior degree of caring, professionalism, warmth, state of the art capability and training, and the outcome is amazing! All this set in a beautiful, welcoming, peaceful country. I plan to return for all my and my family's dental needs.

My kid had an absolutely amazing experience with Dr. Sarah. She is professional, kind & friendly. She will answer all your questions, will educate your child how important is to keep your teeth clean, will teach your kid how to floss and clean teeth properly. I could not ask for better experience in Costa Rica at Mario Garita dentist office. Thank You Sarah!

I visited my family in Costa Rica and broke a tooth by biting too hard on a cacao nib. This was late afternoon; I was in pain and scrambled to find a good dentist who'd take care of me before nightfall. My daughter's friend recommended Dr. Mario Garita. I called his office - the staff was friendly and professional (I don't speak Spanish, unfortunately), spoke solid English and got out of their way to fit me in on a short notice. I was very impressed by the office: a private gated parking with a security guard, a super impressive office with new equipment, friendly staff and high standards of service. Dr. Garita gave me a few numbing shots nearly painlessly, then proceeded to extract my tooth that was hanging by a thread, and then extracted the root (it was root canaled many years ago). All that at a very affordable price. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Garita!

I was hesitant about getting dental work done while visiting Costa Rica. Having used the same dentist in an upscale suburb of Texas for many years, I felt disloyal. I was afraid that I would be taken advantage of, the language would be a barrier, or the quality would not be what I was accustomed to. Maintaining good dental hygiene is essential, and I regularly visit for maintenance. Surprisingly had an extensive treatment plan from my dentist totaling the high thousands. Before my arrival I sent the treatment plan to Dr. Garita's office in San Jose; I quickly got a response in perfect English and decided to take the chance. The price quoted was far less than what I was quoted for the same work in Texas. Upon arrival, I was greeted with the most calming waiting room; it was more like a spa than a dental office. My wait was minimal, and I was taken to a working space that was clean, bright, and had the most advanced dental equipment I have ever seen. The staff was attentive, everyone spoke English far better than my Spanish, and I was confident that I was in capable hands. Dr. Johanna Garita was amazing; I love her confidence, and the work she and her staff did was exceptional. My temporary crowns were perfect (fitted by her assistant--thank you). It took a few tries to get my night grinder and new crowns to fit correctly, and I never felt rushed. Everything was so clean and calming; even the AC in the ceiling (I was staring at it while reclined) was perfectly clean. Most importantly, they were honest. More than half the work quoted by my dentist in the states was unnecessary; ironically, I was concerned about being taken advantage of in Costa Rica. In short, don't hesitate to get your dental work done with Dr. Garita's office. End note: Unfortunately, while traveling, one of my companions had a dental emergency, fortunately, I knew where to send him, and he had an equally good experience.
