The Clinic is an international leading center in the treatment of intraocular tumours and the treatment of various retinal disorders, such as macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. It comprises of departments that specialise in these disorders and presents international clinical and research activity.

The Clinic specialises in the treatment of pediatric conditions, such as congenital cataract, strabismus and pediatric glaucoma.

The Refractive Surgery department, which treats myopia, hyperopia & astigmatism, is equipped with state-of-the-art technology for the treatment of the most common refractive disorders as well as certain forms of presbyopia.

The Clinic operates a special department for the treatment of keratoconus, a condition that affects a significant number of individuals in the reproductive phase of their lives. 

Available also is the leading Femtosecond Laser system, which is a revolution in the field of cataract surgery, corneal transplants as well as other conditions of the ocular surface. 

Finally, given our belief is the dissemination and propagation of knowledge should be complete and unrestricted, the Athens Eye Hospital has invested in the education of ophthalmologists by installing the unique VRmagic simulator system, paving the way to become the educational reference centre, not only in Greece, but also in the neighbouring Balkan countries and the Middle East.
