I'm so honored to be in this hospital. I actually highly recommend it to foreigners. The service is so great, as a foreigner who couldn't speak their language. They let me being assisted by one staff since the beginning till the end of my check up for translating and catering all my concerns and needs. I appreciate how they highly valued foreigner patients. Even if it's already lunch time break for all but i praise the lung doctor for visiting the patients in the ward. Also they are so approachable. Thank you so much for doing more than people expect from you.
I would like to write a review for both doctors who took care of me during my admission and outpatient visit at Bangpakok 9 International Hospital. On April 6th, I was experiencing left abdominal pain that radiated to my back, and was seen by Dr. Theeratus Jongboonyanuparp, a Gastro-Hepatologist. I can truly say that this doctor is genuinely benevolent. Even though I am not a Thai native speaker, he provided me with a clear understanding of my condition, the available treatment options, and demonstrated empathetic patient care. To further investigate the etiology of my abdominal pain, he ordered a Multiphase Whole Abdomen CT scan, urinalysis, and some blood tests. While typically a radiologist would read the CT scan, Dr. Theeratus went to check the images himself. This really impressed me, and it was clear that he was very hands-on with his patients. He explained the results to both me and my girlfriend, and discussed the possible treatments. As a result, Dr. Theeratus recommended that I have to be admitted for one night for further investigations. I was diagnosed with a kidney stone that measures 0.3 cm X 0.57 cm and is already stuck in my ureter. This has caused me to experience abdominal pain with blood stains in my urine, frequent urges to urinate with less output, and significant weight loss. He also informed me that my case was referred already to the Urologist, Dr. Rawin Suanaporn. During my stay at Bangpakok 9 International Hospital, the room was spacious and had a stunning modern design, which was impressive for a standard room. The meals were served round the clock and were prepared and handled with exceptional cleanliness and hygiene. To make our stay more comfortable and enjoyable, the hospital has provided personal care items, slippers, and hospital clothes as part of their hospitality amenities. They also refill my water bottle every time they see it's almost empty. The only issue I observed during my stay was that the nurses at that time were unable to speak English, and therefore could not provide me with updates on whether the doctor would come to visit me or refer me to another specialist since Dr. Theeratus was on vacation leave the next day. We kept waiting until the next day, but there was still no update from the nurses. We had to ask someone to contact the nursing supervisor for an update on my admission. By the way, I would like to express my gratitude to Fernie from the email center for being my translator and assisting me with the insurance update, and to Green, who took care of my insurance during the night shift and provided assistance during my admission stay as well. So the update is, Dr. Theeratus will come to pay me a visit even though he is on leave that day, to see the results himself and explain everything to me since the results of my urinalysis were very concerning & he prescribed medications and ordered to see the urologist. I consulted Dr. Rawin Suanaporn,a urologist. I can say that Dr. Rawin is undoubtedly impressive in explaining what is really happening and the possible risks if the stone is not removed. He instructed me to undergo a Plain KUB and urinalysis once again to check for the presence of the stone. During our consultation, he offered a comprehensive demonstration of the condition I was experiencing due to the stones. He demonstrated the normal appearance of a human kidney and ureter and explained their functions. Initially, he had advised me to undergo surgery and prescribed some medications while also advising me to drink 1.5-2 L of water per day. However, due to the effectiveness of the medications and the adherence to the medical instructions, the stone was able to be removed spontaneously without the need for surgery and we are delighted about it. Also, thanks to Khun Yui for her translation service assistance. She was always beside us during my outpatient visit with the urologist. Overall, I am grateful for the excellent care that I received from Dr. Theeratus Jongboonyanuparp and Dr. Rawin Suanaporn and other staff at Bangpakok 9 International Hospital.
