Hallym University Kangnam Sacred Heart Hospital opened its doors in 1980 in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul and has been designated as a teaching hospital of Hallym University College of Medicine in 1982. Since then, we have been recognized as one of the best university hospitals representing the southwestern part of Seoul. Our mission is to respect life and improve the health and happiness of humankind. We fulfill this mission through three visions. Equipped with about 650 patient beds and cutting-edge facilities, Hallym University Kangnam Sacred Heart Hospital consists of three main buildings and two new wings. We also operate 30 medical departments and 10 specialized centers including the Cardiovascular Center, the Robotic Surgery Center, the High Risk Maternal and Neonatal Intensive Care Center, the Digestive Disease Center, the Renal and Urology Center and the Cancer Center, taking a multidisciplinary approach. In particular, we have been the leader in robotic surgery since introducing the advanced da Vinci Surgical System in 2007. Since then, we have performed precision robotic surgery in the safest manner possible based on our rich clinical experience and skills. In 2018, we set up a state-of-the-art research facility, Hallym Institute for Translational Medicine, to lay a solid foundation for basic research and promote disease-centered clinical and translational research. In 2019, our new wing opened and we strive to become a patient-oriented ubiquitous hospital, improving patient convenience.
