Overview

The Mediterranean Hospital of Cyprus is a modern private health care institution, one of the largest in Cyprus, with a mission to provide to all the citizens and the visitors of the country safe and high quality medical services 24/7. Located at a central geographic location in the city of Limassol, offers fast and direct access from anywhere across the country via the national motorway A1. Opening in July 2013 with a more open-minded approach, the Mediterranean Hospital of Cyprus broke away from the traditional hospital operating models. The Mediterranean Hospital of Cyprus arose from a need to fill the gap between providing/promoting medical and laboratory services to the citizens of private hospitals in Cyprus, while offering affordable, high quality medical care. The founder of the Mediterranean Hospital of Cyprus, Dr . Andreas Panayiotou, has set as a goal the development and the establishment of a reliable infirmary, with flexible operational mechanisms, in order to gain the trust and recognition for the quality of its services from everybody. The motivational rationale behind the growth of the Mediterranean Hospital of Cyprus is summarized in the phrase:

"From Human For Human"

The team chosen to implement the objectives of the founder of the hospital are espoused to this rational as well, thus promoting creativity and mutual cooperation.

Apart from the Emergency Department and the Outpatient Clinics, the infirmary has an Invasive and Nursing Department, which are more than adequately equipped and staffed. The operational policy of the infirmary is, as aforementioned, intended to put focus on the patient and not just on the illness as something to be independent from the person suffering from it. Nursing and medical staff receive continuous education and training. This, in conjunction with working with physicians of a variety of specialties, allows the Mediterranean Hospital of Cyprus to offer a high level of care to all patients in a pleasant and safe environment. The Mediterranean Hospital of Cyprus pursues continuous development and improvement by following strict operational and management protocols. This is achieved with commitment towards fostering the best possible services with a humanistic approach.

I have something to compare with, and I can say that there was not a bad moment throughout my entire interaction with this clinic. The nurses are very friendly and caring; doctors are confident and professional; and even the meals are great for a hospital. Mediterranean's obvious one problem is lack of funding, so don't let the slightly ragged appearance of the building fool you; what's important is how you're treated, and here you will be treated very well. I ran off from another clinic after poor treatment and ended up here, and I have zero regrets.

A massive thank you Dr Triantafyllos Giannakopoulos Vascular Surgeon. Thank you for transforming my life. Having struggled to walk more than a few steps without pain due to agony in my legs I can now complete all the house cleaning without a pause. Obviously to my wife’s delight. His fantastic work cleared my badly blocked veins in my legs and now my walking distance increases daily. Can’t recommend him high enough. He is truly top in his league. Can’t thank you enough. Kind regards. Dave Curtis.

Updated review: The best Doctor is Dr Panagiotis Paraschakis Interventional Neuroradiologist who is an exceptional Doctor. As a patient, I had a brain DSA done and he took patience and kindness explaining the procedure to me and putting me at ease. During the procedure and in theatre as I was awake, he talked me through the whole process step by step. He was wonderful in directing the rest of the theatre staff whilst checking always to make sure I was okay. After recovery he came to see me and explained his diagnosed findings and ensured I was stable enough to be released from hospital a few hours after that. This Doctor genuinely cares for his patients, he has followed up with my recovery since. He is a kind empathetic and compassionate Doctor, the best by far! Thank you Dr Paraschakis for all your care and expertise. You are an asset to the Mediterranean Hospital. _________________________ I had a brain and head MRI under the guidance of Dimitri and as I'm Claustrophobic and need to take a mild sedative, he guided me and dealt with me in a very gentle, caring and calm manner always checking and reassuring me that I was okay during the procedure which took just over an hour. Thank you Dimitri for your care.
